Find Inspection

The Find Inspection page allows you to search for completed inspections based on a complex set of criteria you define. Once you have located the desired inspections, you can select one from the search results and view/modify the inspection detail information or create a work request based on the inspection.

To find inspections:

  1. Access the Inspection module by clicking the Inspection link at the top of the page.
  2. Select the Find Inspection tab.

    The Find Inspection page opens.

  3. Specify any of the following criteria to define the set of inspections you want to find:

    • Property – Click the Select link to find inspections associated with a particular property.

      If a property is selected, the Region field is replaced by one or more location fields.

    • Region – Select a value to find inspections that took place within a particular region.

      If a property is selected, the Region field is replaced by one or more location fields.

    • Location – If a property is selected, additional location fields appear, allowing you to further define a location within the property.

      Location is highly configurable. Your system may display one or more of the following fields:

      • Space/Floor – Select a value to find inspections that took place on a particular space or floor. Some systems group spaces and floors together and some use separate space and floor values.

      • Zone – Select a value to find inspections located in a particular zone within the property.

      • Tower/Wing – Select a value to find inspections located in a particular tower or wing within the property.

      • Floor – Select a value to find inspections that took place on a particular floor within the property.

      • Space – Select a value to find inspections that took place in a particular space within the property. You cannot select a space until after you select a floor.

      • Sub-Space – Select a value to find inspections that took place in a particular subSpace within the property. You cannot select a subSpace until after you select a space.

    • Inspection ID – Enter a value to find a particular inspection by entering the unique inspection ID.

    • Inspection Class – Select a value to find inspections of a particular inspection class.

    • Inspection Type – Select a value to find inspections of a particular type within the selected inspection class.

    • Asset Class – Select a value to find inspections associated with assets of a particular class, for example, Data & Telecom or Furniture. You can specify an asset class or an asset, but not both.

    • Asset – Click the Select link to find inspections associated with a particular asset. You can specify an asset class or an asset, but not both.

    • Inspector Last Name – Enter a value to find inspections that contain the specified characters in their inspector's last name. This search is not case-sensitive and is done on the entire word or number entered.

    • Inspection Date – Specify two date values to find inspections that occurred within the specified date range.

  4. Once your search criteria are defined, click FIND.

    The following columns of data are displayed. You can sort the list by clicking any of the column headings.

    • Date – the date on which the inspection occurred

    • ID – the ID number of the inspection; clicking this link displays the Inspection Details page

    • Inspector – the name of the user who created the inspection

    • Property/Location – the name of the property and, optionally, the floor, space, and subSpace within the property where the inspection occurred

    • Class/Type – the inspection class and type

    • Asset – the name of any asset associated with the inspection

    • Score – the score for the inspection

    • Total Inspection Score – an average score for all inspections, calculated by adding all the scores and dividing by the number of inspections
